Hello, I was wondering if this is normal or not and what to do.

My 7 year old daughter has recently started smelling of BO under her armpit area, and on closer inspection she appears to have the pores opening up where hair would grow. Ive not heard of a child smelling of BO before and was just worried that this would mean that she was likley to start her periods really early, is this a sign of puberty already in someone so young ?

Many thanks.

This doesn't mean that your daughter will start her periods it just means that she is maturing a lot quicker than most children, it may be wise to take her to your GP to see if is due to a hormonal imbalance. I started my periods at 9 yrs old and am 26 now and I have had problems with my hormones it may be just a precaution just for her to be kept an eye on, I hope this helps.

it is purfectly normaly for girls to start puberty early

i started getting boobs and bo at 7 but i didn't start my periods until i was 13. puberty starts at all differnt stages and age this dosen't mean she will start her periods straight away but if she do it is perfectly normal as some girls do mature faster than others but it's nothing to be worrid about, but if you really think she is about to start than my best advise is to just get some sanatry towels or tampons ready for whenever she dose and is she complains of bad stomach pains than pack her a pad/tampon and a spare pair of knickers to take to school with her and inform the school so they can call you if she dose.

That is normal in most girls. It could be a sign of puberty. My boob slowly started growing at 8-9 then pubic hairs followed but I didn't start my periods until I was 13 so she might not start her periods as soon as think
