It was all going well until a few weeks ago when he was being bathed by his Nan. He slipped over in the bath while trying to get out. He didn't hurt himself but it frightened him a lot. Now he becomes hysterical if we try to put him in the bath. I've tried getting in with him and various other softly softly approaches but nothing seems to work. We take him swimming and he seems ok with the water so I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you help? Reply to this Question |

Show him how to get in and out of the tub wihtout hurting himself and then usig Rockelles idea try again.

Maybe, you should try a bathtime toy. Let him play with the toy throughout the day and try to convince him to join the toy for a bath. ie. rubber duck. Are you filling the tub completely? Try a very small amount of water and gradually increase.
