Definitely go to your GP and ask to be referred (health visitor if I remember correctly) who will set you up with an alarm, give info and advice. These are brilliant - they sorted out both my sons (ADD/ADHD)although it can take a while - they work by training the brain to respond ie.need a wee/wake up.Also advice is to encourage your child to be active ie. wake up properly (lots of praise), help change the bedding; i agree rewards are good too or maybe a chart (put in smiley face or whatever)- visual feedback is effective. This is REALLY common especially with boys and ESPECIALLY if have any kind of learning difficulty; i suspect the link is immature development in the brain which training (ie. alarm etc.) should help to develop
