bus trips are the worst. i only have one child a little boy and he is a night mare when it comes to bus journeys.my trick is to take things to distract him. a couple of his fav toys. lightweight buggies are ideal as it will be easy to get on and of the bus. be positive about the trip don't dread it. the more stressed you are the more stressed your children will be and your trip will be a disaster. make sure you have only the neccesities. you dont want to be carrying the whole of the house and your kitchen sink. give the children food before you set of this keeps the settled obviousley nappy changes before you leave are a must as the more comfortable they are the happier they'll be. if the start getting restless distract them say things like "wow did you see that look see if you can spot that " or see if you can count how many red cars you can see. things like that will distract from the tantraum they were about to start. if all else fails give them a drink or a treat.it works everytime. good luck.

What I would suggest from past experience is if you can get someone to go along with you or if this is not possible you could always get yourself a baby carrier then at least you are hands free to tackle the other baby , getting on and off the bus. People are usually really helpful if I can remember. Good luck! Cheryl

i have 3 sons and traveled by bus for years, no one wants to help you get on yet they cant wait for you to sit down. if i were you i would have the youngest in a babycarrier and your toddler in a folding light weight buggie with either reins or a wrist safty strap (for when he/she needs to get out) The buggie i had was mclaren and folded easy, was light and strong. also have all the things you need in a rucksack that will leave your hands free to pay for your ticket and tend to your children. good luck xx
