i know it sounds harsh but you need to let her cry and another way of comforting her is to get down to her level and just talk to her this relaxes them and has the same effect of picking them trust me

rockelle agony auntI agree with peaches make sure that the baby is ok but let her cry. Encourage her to sit next to you but not always on your lap, get the baby used to laying down alone when going to sleep instead of laying with her. My son used to put me to sleep instead of the other way around. I learned to lay him in his crib and leave the room and after a week or two he would go to sleep on his own. the Dr. told me I taught him to soothe himself when he wakes up through out the night.

Good Luck

peaches83 agony auntAs harsh as it may sound you need to leave her to the screaming when she does it. Ok see if she is ok etc but do not pick her up. It may take a while and it may hurt you to do this but it is the only way.

Good luck
